TeaTronik - Home

TeaTronik have shaken things up down at Mostar Records HQ by introducing a new sound altogether.

Fans of Portishead, Fever Ray and Enya will no doubt enjoy the soothing tones and although it's not my cup of tea, credit where credits due, the excellent pianist and the vocals of Monica Harkin are highly impressive.

The Dublin based duo of Celsey McFadden and Monica Harkin new single, Home, sees you drifting out to see leaving all your troubles and problems behind. The pair's unique sound of haunting vocals and computer generated beats means there is a fine divide between loving this music and not.

Unfortunately, for me it's a not. But I have no qualms that this will still be a successful song by a due who have buckets of natural talent.

The Future Shape of Sound - Thinking Bad Thoughts

Having never heard of The Future Shape of Sound before my only guess, before I pressed play, was that this track was going to be a mixture of futuristic and minamalistic vibes. On the contrary though I found myself thinking that I had just turned on the soundtrack to a 60's London gangster movie or caught the end of 'Lock, Stock and two smoking Barrels.'

The catchy addictive basses and female harmonies mean that Thinking Bad Thoughts, goes from your average retro tune into another classic produced by the boys at Mostar Records.

Fans of CSI Miami, The OC and Six Feet Under will have heard the band's feel good music before but making the leap is always a tricky one and TFSOS cleared the mark in style.

With their Eleven 59 EP released later this year, this track has teased you into wanting to hear more from the self confessed Space Age Ganster soul makers.
